General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of Treehouse Inn<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Thank you for your interest and for placing your trust in us. The following general terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Treehouse Inn (hereinafter referred to as THI).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

1. Contract conclusion<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

1.1 Registration:<\/strong> Confirmation of a booking made in writing, by telephone, electronically (online), or in person creates a contract between the customer and THI. The contract is governed by these GTC. No later than upon payment of the invoice (or prepayment), the customer agrees to receipt of these GTC and consents to their content. The customer is responsible for giving accurate personal data (name and birth date in accordance with passport information) to THI. It is also the customer\u2019s responsibility upon receipt of an invoice\/a confirmation to check that the information on it is complete and correct. Any inaccuracies must be immediately reported to THI. Costs resulting from a failure to report shall be borne by the customer.<\/p>

1.2 Services of other providers:<\/strong> Services which are not arranged or provided by THI are governed by the terms and conditions of carriage and the general terms and conditions of the provider concerned, which THI provides to the customer before the contract is concluded.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

2. Terms and conditions of payment and prices<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

2.1 Terms and conditions of payment:<\/strong> Payment is made upon receipt of the invoice\/confirmation in accordance with the information on it. Unless otherwise indicated on the invoice\/confirmation, final payment is due the day before departure.<\/p>

2.2 Price changes:<\/strong> THI may change the price in the following cases:<\/p>

  • Price changes by transport companies and\/or other providers<\/li>
  • New or increased public taxes or charges (e.g. VAT, safety charges, etc.)<\/li>
  • Obvious printing and publication errors<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    3. Validity of booked services<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    The booked services are valid only on the dates indicated in the invoice\/confirmation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    4. Changes in bookings<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    Changes in bookings must be requested by the customer in writing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    5. Cancellation policy<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    5.1. General provisions:<\/strong> For cancellations prior to departure, a THI handling fee of at least USD 20 per person and service is charged in addition to the cancellation fees mentioned hereafter.<\/p>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    5.2. The cancellation fees for cancellations up to:<\/strong><\/p>

    • 14 days before reservation date: no charges are made<\/li>
    • 7 days before reservation date: 50% of the prepayment<\/li>
    • Less than 7 days before the tour starts or no show: 100% of the prepayment<\/li><\/ul>

      5.3. Any bank charges or other fees cannot be refunded<\/strong><\/p>

      5.4. Early return\/trip interruption:<\/strong> If the customer interrupts the trip or changes the services agreed during the trip, the customer has no claim to a refund. If the trip is interrupted, or the services are changed, any (additional) costs are borne by the customer.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

      6. Travel insurance<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      It is highly recommended that customers take out travel insurance (cancellation costs and travel incidents). By choosing not to take out travel insurance, the customer confirms that he has sufficient private insurance coverage. The customer ensures that he has sufficient insurance for accidents and sickness abroad. Important: THI recommends that customers read the General Terms and Conditions of Insurance before their departure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

      7. Passport, visa, vaccinations<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      The customer is responsible for complying with the individual passport, visa, customs, currency, and vaccination requirements, as well as for obtaining the necessary documents.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

      8. Complaints<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
      \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      If the customer has reason to make complaints during the trip, they must be submitted immediately to the tour guide or to the service provider concerned (e.g. hotel). This usually enables remedial action to be taken on location.<\/p>

      \u00a0<\/p>

      8.1 THI is not liable if the non-performance or bad performance of the contract is due to<\/strong><\/p>

      • A failure to act on the side of the customer;<\/li>
      • Little sighting of wild animals. We are in the jungle and will observe the animals in their natural environment. We never know in advance, which animals we will be able to spott.<\/li>
      • Force majeure or an event, which THI or a service provider could not have foreseen or avoided, notwithstanding the exercise of due care. THI therefore is not liable for changes in an itinerary caused by strikes, social unrest, weather conditions, landslides, full rivers, decisions taken by the authorities, third-party delays, etc. In case of force majeure, THI reserves the right to change, postpone or even cancel trips.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

        9. Data Privacy<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        9.1. Your data:<\/strong> THI needs various pieces of data from you and your party members (such as forename and surname, date of birth, e-mail address etc.) for the correct processing of the contract. THI will only use the personal data to carry out the booked services. The data will not be passed on to third parties or used in any other way.<\/p>

        9.2. Transfer to service providers and authorities:<\/strong> THI will only forward your data where this data is required for processing the contract with the service providers.<\/p>

        9.3. Asserting rights:<\/strong> THI reserves the right to disclose your data to authorities and third parties for the assertion of the legitimate interests of THI.
